This thesis body of work focuses on creating paintings on found objects, largely linens and doilies.  The continued history of these objects, already lost from original context and being repurposed into the narrative of interiors, allows a continued life, as often memories are carried through families and friends, passed along until they are forgotten or let go of.

Utilizing preconstructed handcrafted items out of original context as a base, I am repurposing them into continued vessels of experiential documentation by additive painting. Some art objects continue with their embroidery hoop frame works, others are radially pinned to emphasize the prior decorative-but-functional life and the dissection of that existence now.
